It is a legal requirement in the UK to have a current MOT certificate. If your car is does not have an annual MOT test, you may find that you cannot renew your road tax and it can affect your insurance. Your vehicle can have its MOT test up to 28 days before the due date.

Here at CPR Performance we understand that people live very busy. This is why we offer to book and take your car to our qualified MOT station. If your car has any problems during your MOT, our experienced staff are on hand to correct all issues, no matter the scale. We can perform a MOT and service on the same day, and we do not limit cars.

The MOT test is performed by a nominated tester; someone who is authorised by the government body VOSA (Vehicle and Operator Services Agency) will conduct an inspection and a comprehensive series of checks around the vehicle. This includes the interior, exterior, under the bonnet and under the vehicle.

The result of each check is recorded and a VT20 ‘pass’ certificate is issued when a vehicle passes their MOT. If the vehicle fails to meet the required standard a VT30 ‘failure’ document is issued. Any items that are not quite a failure but worthy of a mention so you can keep an eye on them and noted as ‘advisory’ items.
